Job: House Manager / Head Housekeeper
Location: Marbella, Spain
- Ideally looking for someone local, within 30 minutes of Marbella
- Accommodation can be provided for the right person
Summary:
We are looking for a proactive, discreet, trustworthy House Manager or Head Housekeeper to
oversee our beautiful property and ensure it is maintained and run like a 5* hotel
Responsible for managing the current housekeeper and running the house and facilities with
integrity and attention to detail.
The goal is to create a clean and orderly environment for the principle family and guests.
Hours:
40-50 x hours p/w when family guests in residence
20 x hours p/w when no one if in residence
- The family will be in residence throughout the year for a combined total of approximately 15
x weeks
- Possible guests (rental) could be in residence during June - August (approximate 8 -12 x
weeks)
- Flexibility to work during weekends when the family/guests are in residence
- You will be expected to work on Spanish holidays when the family or guests are in residence
- Holidays to be taken when the family & guests are not in residence
Job Description
- Cook a variety of meals when the family or guests are in residence
o To include, but not limited to breakfast, lunch, dinner, dinner parties, healthy
snacks, juices, and drink perpetration etc
o Able to set a beautiful table and create lovely meals
o Ensure fridge is well stocked prior to guest arrivals and when family are in residence
o Maintaining a clean and tidy kitchen
- Managing and working with the current house keeper on the below:
o Cleaning, for example:
▪ General cleaning of the property and deep cleaning where necessary
▪ Performing a variety of cleaning activities such as vacuuming, sweeping,
mopping, dusting and polishing, sanitising toilets, showers/bathtubs, trash
management
▪ Ensuring all rooms are cared for and inspected according to standards
▪ Sorting, washing, loading, unloading laundry and ironing
o Run errands, such as dry cleaning, shopping etc
o Check stock levels of all household consumables and replace when appropriate
o Manage suppliers i.e gardner, pool maintenance, builders etc
o Monitoring all equipment and household items ensuring you notify the family PA on
any damages, deficits and disturbances
o Deal with reasonable complaints/requests with professionalism and patience
o Dealing with any housekeeper related request from the Family, Family Office or
guests
Candidate Requirements
- Good knowledge of Spanish and English is a must
- Must be able to drive and have a car
- Degree of flexibility
- Proven experience as a cleaner or housekeeper
- Ability to work with little supervision and maintain a high level of performance
- Customer-oriented and friendly
- Working quickly without compromising quality
