This is a super senior role for aknowledgeable housekeeper with good laundry experience - who has a passion for clothes care. Working as part of a super team on a very good quality private estate - the household  seeks an experienced Wardrobe Specialist/ Laundress to oversee the care, organisation, and presentation of all clothing, footwear, andaccessories for the Principals. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, a deepknowledge of garment care for luxury and specialist fabrics, and the ability to anticipateneeds in a fast-paced, discreet environment. The successful candidate will ensure that allwardrobes are immaculate, fully stocked, and maintained to the highest possible standard.

Key Responsibilities

Garment Care & Laundering

  • Expert cleaning, laundering, steaming, pressing, and spot-treating of all garments,

including delicate and couture items.

  • Identification and appropriate care of specialist textiles such as silk, cashmere, suede,

leather, linen, lace, knitwear, and embellished pieces.

  • Coordination of dry-cleaning services, ensuring correct handling and tracking of all

items.

  • Minor clothing repairs, mending, and basic alterations; liaison with tailors or

specialist repairers when required.

  • Regular inspection and preventative care to prolong garment life and retain pristine

condition.

Wardrobe Management

  • Organisation, cataloguing, and rotation of seasonal wardrobes across multiple

residences as necessary.

  • Continual checking, refreshing, and maintaining of all clothing, footwear, and

accessories.

  • Ensure all wardrobes are tidy, well-presented, and intuitively arranged for ease of use

by the Principals.

  • Management and care of footwear including polishing, cleaning, weatherproofing,

and arranging for resoling or specialist repair.

  • Monitoring of any issues such as wear, damage, or items requiring replacement.

Travel Preparation

  • Full preparation and packing for international and domestic travel, including

formalwear, casual attire, sportswear, accessories, footwear, and personal essentials.

  • Creation of packing lists and outfit planning when required.
  • Coordination with household staff and travel teams to ensure all items are transported

safely and in perfect condition.

  • Management of unpacking and wardrobe setup at travel destinations where needed.

Stock Management

  • Maintain and replenish all personal stocks, including medical supplies, toiletries,

cosmetics, grooming products, and travel essentials.

  • Track expiry dates and product rotation.
  • Anticipate upcoming needs and manage discreet purchasing proactively.

Household Integration

  • Work collaboratively with other household staff including housekeepers, personal

assistants, and estate managers to ensure seamless service.

  • Uphold strict confidentiality and maintain an understanding of the Principals’

preferences, styles, and routines.

  • Provide occasional support with personal shopping, gifting, or specialist procurement.

Key Skills & Requirements

  • Extensive experience in private households, luxury fashion care, couture garment

handling, or high-end laundry services.

  • Strong knowledge of specialist fabrics, stain treatment, garment construction, and

finishing techniques.

  • Excellent organisational skills with an ability to manage multiple wardrobes and

maintain immaculate standards.

  • High discretion, professionalism, and understanding of private family life.
  • Ability to anticipate needs and work proactively with minimal supervision.
  • Flexibility for occasional travel and out-of-hours requirements.
  • Full UK driving licence and DBS check required.
