Housekeeping Position
Part-Time Cleaner / Housekeeper – for aFamily Home
2 mornings a week
(Ideally Wednesday and Friday, 8am–1pm – some flexibility available)
About the Role
We are looking for a reliable, experienced cleaner/housekeeper to help keep the five bedroom family home clean, well-organised and running smoothly. The role combines
high-standard cleaning with laundry, maintaining a tidy, clutter-free home and occasional decluttering to help keep spaces organised. A full driving licence is required, as local public transport is limited.
Main Duties
Regular cleaning: vacuuming, dusting, mopping, bathroom and kitchen care
Keeping the house tidy, organised and clutter-free
Occasional decluttering and reorganising of household areas as needed
Laundry: washing, drying, ironing, and putting away clothes and bed linen
Light pet duties (feeding cats, cleaning litter trays)
Assisting with occasional household tasks such as preparing items for dry cleaning
or managing laundry services
Occasional meal preparation (if comfortable doing so)
A friendly family of five - three teenage children (two currently at university) - and
two cats living in Much Hadham.
Requirements
Proven experience in a cleaner/housekeeper role within a family home or similar
environment
Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining a clean, welcoming, clutter-free
home
Trustworthy and able to provide good references
Comfortable working in a home with pets
Full UK driving licence (due to infrequent public transport)
Pay
£17–£18 per hour depending on experience.
