The food is prepared on Thursday / Friday for the family to eat over the weekend, so it needs to be meals that can be readily heated through, without too much fuss. In terms of the menus themselves, the family like to let the cook choose, but will advise if there is something that they definitely don’t eat or want. It’s generally home cooking, so a roast for Sundays, Lasagne for Saturday evening etc. They won’t particularly want showy meals. Just wholesome meals which can be warmed for table without too much fuss, and incorporating vegetables from the garden wherever possible.
